Karolina has sung with many different groups through the years – here is a
selection:
Ensemble South
While in this professional vocal ensemble based in the Oresund region of the
south of Sweden (Malmo), Karolina participated in a great number of projects
including newly composed as well as old music. The group performed
throughout southern Sweden, in Stockholm and also Italy.
Petterlunds
Performing along with Charlotta Blom, clarinet and vocals, and Henrik Lundström,
guitar, Karolina participated in much appreciated concert programmes with a
repertoire of jazz, show and folkmusic. Petterlund´s hallmark was a swinging style
of music with thought-provoking lyrics, often performed in Swedish.

LADY SHAVE
Lady Shave
This vocal group consisted of: Camilla Helander, Kristina Hellgren and Karolina
Strand and was active in 1990-1999. It started as a ‘sweet Adeline trio’ but
then came to include jazz, pop and folk music. This ladies trio performed either
alone or with instrumental accompaniment. Lady Shave entertained at
conferences and official functions. The group also set up a number of shows in
the Malmö region and performed traditional concerts throughout Skåne,
Sweden. Lady Shave toured Germany and Italy giving concerts and recorded a
CD in 1998.
